Hi, I’m Elliston.
I lived with ulcerative colitis for over a decade before undergoing life-changing surgery. Like many others, I faced the reality of a stoma, and later the transition to a J-Pouch. It hasn’t always been easy — but over the years I’ve learned that life after UC isn’t just about coping. It’s about finding ways to thrive, regain confidence, and live fully again.
One of the biggest reasons I started Pouch Heals is my daughter, who was recently diagnosed with UC. I wanted to create a place where she — and others like her — could find support, reassurance, and hope. Knowing that someone else has been through it, and found ways to keep living a full life, can make all the difference.
